    Description

    Reverse E-Unit in Boiler XA10587-B:
    This postwar E-unit is an early 4-position, or 4-step type with front brass platform and 2 screw mount for attachment on the boiler chassis, typically in 1946-47 steam locos but also in some of the late 1940's Atlantic and Pacific Bullet steam engines.  It has a clean, blackened steel frame (except for my finger prints-I will wipe down prior to shipping) with coil, excellent condition drum, New upper and lower contact fingers. The reproduction fingers are more rigid than the original. The coil tests to spec. and the unit cycles nicely and consistently without hang up.  The steel tabs for the fiber contact boards have been left straight for ease of assembly and will need to be carefully twisted/bent once wiring/soldering is complete.  There are no mounting screws or fiber piece.
